About me

Hey! Hi there! My name is Renita and I’m a country wife and Mom,  living on a ranch in northeast Texas. I’m married to a wonderful guy named Amos and he’s Dad to our 6 handsome cowboys and 1 darling princess. He’s also my best friend and supporter and has been there for me thru thick and thin. We’ll be married 24 years in Dec. of this year, and we thank God for each new day we can spend together.

Our boys range from ages 22 – 3 years old and our sweet little girlie is 8 years old. The boys all have experience in most household chores, much to their chagrin! And the little miss and I love to help outdoors whenever we get the chance! The youngest chap is heart broken if he can’t go along load cattle or work them.

We are an average, yet not really average family. We are very hodgepodge, and we all love variety and spontaneity, and the menfolk love adventure while the princess and I love to shop and decorate.:) We have a lot of fun times together but we aren’t perfect, that’s certain. We face problems like everyone else and struggle to stay afloat at times. But we love what we do, living on a ranch… in the country…and strive to work through our problems in a Biblical manner-which is easier said than done, right?

We have 2 laying hen barns, sheep, quite a few horses, and plenty of cattle. The boys all help here on the farm and just recently we started another enterprise of building mini horse barns and storage buildings. Our favorite time of any day is just being together as a family, doing whatever.

We’re not rich, but God has so far blessed us way beyond our expectations and we give honor and credit to Him, the Giver of all good things! Our family motto is out of 1 Chronicles 4:10 which is a heartfelt prayer that came forth out of an humble servant heart a long time ago, but a request that is still alive and real today which I want to share with you here.

“And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

May it be your prayer and mine, as we journey along in our separate lives, allowing God’s blessings to enrich our lives, enhancing our walk with His hand upon us, and taking courage to have our territories enlarged and kept from evil.

I hope you enjoy hearing about us, and learning to know us a little better. “The Lord bless thee and keep thee: the Lord make his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee; The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace.” Numbers 6:24-26

Blessings!

Amos & Renita…. with all the Cowboys and 1 little Princess:)
