Love and Beauty

“Love The Life You Live. Live The Life You Love.”

“A GREAT LEADER’S COURAGE TO FULFILL HIS VISION COMES FROM PASSION, NOT POSITION .”  JOHN C. MAXWELL

We get it mixed up at times, don’t we?

We are so busy trying to find our position, we forget what our passion is.

What is passion?

How can we tell the difference in the two?

“Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity, because when you’re passionate about something, then you’re more willing to take risks.”

“Passion is about doing what you love.”

“If you don’t love what you  do, you won’t do it with much conviction or passion.”

Finding your passion isn’t just about finding the best paying job or career. Neither is it going from one position to another, because positions will never accomplish what our passion will.

Our passion lies inside of us and unless we find our deepest self,  we may never know what our passion is.

We may discover our passion is buried under years of debris that we and other people have piled on top of our real self, and perhaps it will take years to peel off the crusty covers, layer by layer, that has hidden our deep passion.

Don’t despair, and don’t give up.

Doubts and feelings of failure can make us believe we don’t even possess a passion.

That’s a lie from the enemy and don’t you dare believe it any longer!

God gives each one a passion, and expects us to use that passion to bring honor and glory to His name.

Passion is the fuel or energy from within to keep us going thru hard times.

What are some of your favorite things to do? What do you really love to do that is fulfilling to you and leaves you feeling as though you’ve really accomplished something worthwhile?

When we truly live our passion, we will encounter criticism, ridicule, doubts, and days when it would be so much easier to just throw in the towel and forget about living our passion.

But I believe God wants us to be passionate about life.

Most important, He wants us to be passionate about Him.

When He met with Moses on top of  Mt. Sinai, He asked the children of Israel to “Love Him with ALL of their heart, with ALL of their soul, with ALL of their strength, with ALL of their might.”

Now doesn’t that sound passionate?

Today he wants you and me to be passionate about Him.

Do our every day lives show passion toward God in that way, or have we become lukewarm in our relationship with Him?

How about our relationship with our neighbors? Or the family God has so graciously given to us?

Are we truly passionate about  God and our neighbors, and those we come in contact with daily?

If we find  we’re not passionate in what we do,  we need to either change our attitude or change our job.

Being passionate about what we do, and how we live isn’t always easy.

Being passionate hurts.

Because not everyone will understand you, and some just won’t ‘get’ it.

Be passionate anyway.

I love being passionate about my family…taking care of them…filling their needs…and teaching them about passion!

I am passionate about people who are struggling in the valley of discouragement and/or despair, because I’ve been there. (I used to have an apartment there. 🙁 )

But there are some things that I’m not passionate about.

One of those is laundry.

I should be because we have tons of it.

But beings I’m not, it often turns into a disaster. Fast.

Not all things in life are easy tho’, just because we are passionate about them.

It’s not always easy to be passionate about my family when they reject my gestures of love toward them.

But I will be passionate anyway.

Did you know God is very passionate about us?

He was so passionate about us that He gave His Son to take our place of punishment, so that we could live with Him forever.

We were His primary reason to come.

But then He was despised, rejected, mocked. And finally, viciously killed.

All because of His passion for us.

How do we treat Him today?

And those who are passionate about serving Him?

Do we become critical of people who are passionate about making a difference in other people’s lives?

Could it be because we aren’t passionate ourselves?

Are we more concerned about our position in life?

Nothing is as important as passion. No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate.

I hope you have found passion in your life, because if you haven’t, life will seem empty.

Passion is what gives life it’s meaning.

Be passionate in all that you do.

Love what you do!

Even if it hurts.

No matter how they treat you.

Because passion is the oxygen to your soul.
